I posted a "well done" to W.S. for apologizing to someone and was surprised at the backlash I got. Wow. Has anyone seen her today? I wouldn't be surprised if she had left altogether.
My mother taught me that when someone apologizes to you, you accept their apology. You don't keep justifying and explaining yourself and why you were right.
Just like I was taught that if someone pays you a compliment you don't argue with them. You just say "thank you" graciously.
I guess I was just brought up with a different set of values.
You all believe in teaching children manners and common courtesy don't you?

Charlottee...it has been rough around here for the last week. But Wisdom Seeker, has so graciously apologized for peace sake. And let me tell you, I am very proud of my friend, I know exactly how she feels.
She probably needs time to cool off. She will be back. It is so good to know that people are there to be by you through this. And I am so sure Wisdom Seeker is looking, and very happy to know she can count on you.
I am so sorry that you too were treated that way. I hope tho, you will not hold us all accountable for one or two. There are many wonderful people on this board. If you need refuge from the bad ones, come in here and Just yell aaaaakkkk! Or scream! We are very understanding. And of course no fighting is allowed in here.
When you feel like that...I will play you some soothing music to relax you. I will say, I love you Sis, and then you can just rant till your hearts content!
Have you pm Wisdom Seeker? Sometimes she is working, and she takes a break.

Yes, we teach manners. You should have been with me for lunch.
I took my camera over to my son to get the film out...don't know what was matter with it, but he fixed it.
Suddenly, graduating granddaughter and freshman brother arrived from school for lunch.
It seems that grandson's backpack was taken away from him this morning because they are not allowed to take them to school on the last two days of school. No problem excep his palm pilot comupter or whatever it is called was in it.
Now mother is worried that diabetic daughter could not take her meds to class with her today, but she assured her mother that she would be okay. She would leave them in the office.
So we go to lunch, great fun and good manners and conversation. Grandson had to go back to school so his mother took him and promptly went to the office to get his backpack. She could have it, but then, she couldn't identify it. Took her 30 minutes while my son and I waited in the Van. We had a good visit, but he needed to get back to work to let his employees go to lunch.
I asked, "Son are you going to live through this?"
His answer, "of course, this is just a normal day."
You know he has three teenagers, a 12 year old and a 9 year old. They are scattered in three of the local schools. The principals can't breathe a sign of relief because one if graduating, four more are on their way.

I've just been busy. Decided I AM going to lose this extra weight. So I started walking last Monday. As of today, I've walked 15.4 miles... I weigh on Tuesdays, and after walking 11 miles in 8 days.......
I GAINED half a pound

Leave all white foods out. Spread your walking time out. not all at once. divide it up as a schedule. 2 or 3 times a day. If you want walk one mile in morning one mile in afternoon and one mile in evening. Cut you meals in half. Eat breakfast! But no bread. Also..make sure you drink water.

Sherrie, that's okay, I guess if you get close enough to a burning flame, you're bound to get burned occasionally. People are all different, some are real nice and calm and easy to talk to, like you all seem to be. And then sometimes.....
Yes, I've tried to p.m. her but she isn't responding. I wouldn't think anything of it except for what I've read lately, I'm glad it wasn't directed at me. Maybe you are right, maybe she's just working. I'll try not to worry about her. When I first became a member here Wisdom Seeker was one of the first people I prayed for. So I guess I feel a little motherly about her for some reason.
Betty, I'm glad you had that time with your family. I don't know the first thing about cameras. Like these new digital ones. I can figure out how to take a picture, but I need my son in law's help to down load them. It's just so complicated.
And, nice to meet you Kathy. It's always nice to see a new person stick their head in.
