Nope. You have to ignore evidence to come up with that conclusion. I know that's nothing new to you, but the paper trail shows efforts by Bush, and others, to reign in FM & FM, and obstruction by the dems.

And charges of racism from the left, to make the real culprits walk.

Why do you keep trying to change the subject?

The only recession that matters now is the current one.

There is absolutely no doubt that the fault lies almost exclusively in the lap of democrats.

Your whining and rationalizations and misdirections willl not change the facts.

I hope we can find a recession soon to the Kennedy/Johnson/Nixon/Ford/Carter/Reagan/Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama recession.

Find a recession to a recession or find an end to a recession?

Not true. During the Clinton years the economy was booming. It's only after Bush took office that the economy started to tank. Now, hopefully, Obama will enact policies to overcome Bush's failed presidency.

Not true. The economy began its decent just prior to Clinton leaving office as the dot com boom crashed.

You are mistaken. Check Post#19 above for a history of when recessions started. The recession Bush inherited from Clinton was worsened by the 9/11 attack. This attack would have not happened if Clinton had put his presidential duties first and took control of bin Laden from Somolia[sp] instead of abusing young interns.

Recessions happen in cycles independent of politics. Your defense of Bush, the biggest spender in American history, further shows your liberal leanings.

One point. The New York Times is one of the greatest newspapers in the world. End of discussion.

The NYT may have been a good newspaper in the distant past; currently, on the scale of honest journalism, it is well below the National Inquirer.  And I am happy to end the discussion since I learned you don't walk on water.:sleeping_2: :sleeping_2:

When was the dot com boom crash? I agree, that was the start to this mess. Phone companies started rates like $00.05 which dropped the profit margins at the phone companies, minimum wage was raised which increased the price of a big mac and we appeared to had lost the war on drugs (or just gave up).

I still believe the big downward turn was off shoring of jobs... That was an addiction CEO's needed a 10 step program to get over.
