Been doing good this week. I have only slipped up once in over 2 weeks, I think, and that slip wasnt enuf to make me gain, I am sure. I am frustrated, though, b/c it doesnt seem to be doing any good. Seems like I can only maintain. I gained some back a month or so ago, and I cant get it off.
I am hoping exercise will jumpstart me again, we start back Jazzercizing this week. I am going to make time to go twice a week. We havent had it since the hurricane.
    Its just a booger!

No, tatertot. I have made up my mind. I will not post in the women's thread. No amount of begging can make me change my mind.

I am a little surprised...a closed in space with all that pizza...that is more than a small victory!

SFIC, I admire you for showing such restraint!

I am not sure why the Diet thread is in the ladies area anyhow, I guess only ladies diet

I understand that it would get lost in All Other Discussions. Those threads have even my head spinning.

But I respect your right to privacy. And, as I am not, nor ever will be, a woman... I refuse to post in this thread.

SBC, I can tbelieve you doubted my will power. [IMG] I've been good all weekend and had ample opportunity to cheat! Someone somewhere must be prayin' for me, lol.

Feels weird to start a topic in the women's forum... but it's where the diet thread(s) used to be.

Anyway, I'm back on the bandwagon. Where I work started up a contest, sort of a "Biggest Loser" thing. They divied us up into teams, and we're supposed to weigh in every week in the medical center.

I am on second shift, and we have named our team the Guttbusters. One o the ladies has even written our theme song to the tune of "Ghostbusters", but I don't know (or want to know) the words.

The team that loses the most gets 500 E-star points each. E=star points are a reward system... you can trade them in for stuff out of the catalog at work. NICE stuff, if you have the points. The biggest loser overall gets 500 additional points.

We started May 1st. I weighed in on the 10th, and had dropped 17 pounds, putting me in the early lead. Yes, seventeen. Hey, I've lost it before, and I plan on losing more now... and the competition just makes it better.

So... who else is trying to shink their waistlines...?

    In Christ,
    Trotter

I'm right there with the rest of you. I gained back everything I lost too.

I am kind of on a forced diet right not because of my teeth, but as soon as possible, I'm going to have to do some serious dieting.

    Trotter,

Good job for getting back on the diet. It is always a struggle.

I am doing pretty good recently. I had gained back about 20lbs of the 45 I lost, but I have already lost some of that and back on my way down.

    It is a lifelong battle.

Started back with a local church doing the First Place Bible study group. I lost about 30 pounds a few years ago, but have gained about 20 of it back. I'm the kind who eats when she's stressed . . . and I'm stressed, a lot! :(

Anyway, my cholesteral levels came down a bunch when I lost weight and I need to have it checked again. Don't want to til I loose some of this weight. Plus, my dad's family has diabetes (he was diagnosed the other day) and high blood pressure.

My oldest daughter is doing this with me as well. She is 17 and wants to loose some weight. I hope by doing this Bible study she will learn priorities (God first) and will desire to be healthy more than having a svelte body. My SIL is has eating disorders and I do not want my daughter to end up there. She (daughter) is a beautiful, talented young woman who, I believe, loves God with all of her heart.

    Anyway, that's our story.

    Julia

Well, we had our weigh-in today. This contest started on May 1st, so it's been 17 days.

How am I doing? I've lost 24 pounds thus far. Unfortunately, they're going to do it by % of body weight... I'm shooting for 10%, but I might be able to surpass that.

I guess I just needed some motivation.

    In Christ,
