    I can't help myself here. But I don't have a Leviticus in my New Testament. Must be using the wrong version.

    If all drinking is completely outlawed, then why would the Lord specify to Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu that they should shun strong drink and wine when they enter the Tabernacle? It seems clear to me that the commandment was to ensure they were of a sound, sober mind during service unto the Lord.

    During times of leisure and recreation, no such commandment exists. We should exercise moderation, yes. We should remain sober, but most everyone I know can handle a glass of wine and still be sober.
