Here is an even better article by David Corn.

No, he is in a quagmire, with no end in sight.

My hotel supplies a copy of USA Today, not the New York Times, and I saw this story while I was drinking coffee.

    http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2007-06-12-libby-trial_N.htm

    I find this statement interesting:

    Hmmmm........

Remember the outrage for the pardon by former-President Clinton of Marc Rich? The outcry should be just as loud for any pardon of this despicable man who outed a CIA operative.

What does truth have to do with you? This comparison is from the pit.

    Bad news for Mr. Libby.

My favorite part of this story:

    Unchecked authority - hmmmmmm........
This doesn't look like someone who is sorry for their actions, does it?

Bringing down this president would be a tremendously PATRIOTIC thing to do.

No....Did anyone in the Bush administration? NO She was not an operative for many years, far beyond that the law requires for that designation.

It would be a tremendous waste of time and effort to even try.

You'd have to invent a Constitutional reason to "bring him down", making you at least as bad as you think he is.

Jan 21, 2009 will be here soon enough.

What a waste of time bringing down Bush would be? How much further can he go? How much more influence and respect can he lose? 17 months is the bat of an eye, why bother?

The real villian in this case is Mr Cheney. Loyality is suppose to be a two way street. When a subordinate sticks his neck out for his superior by some misguided sense of loyality, then gets caught, what happens? Is that loyality a two way street? No, there is nothing but silence, and let the man sway in the wind. That shows integrity with this individual is a one way street to promote his own interests. A press release that says I am so sorry for the wife and kids just does not make it. A question for those who have served, would you want this guy leading the charge in combat?

Yes, Jan '09' is too near to invest time and effort and building a case for impeachment.

What solution do the leftists have for the middle east? Cut and run is not a solution, but a postponement of our responsibilities, that will result in much greater chaos.
