Yes. There was a Flood of waters 4400 years ago. The radius of the Earth before the Flood of waters was 3700 km. At present, the radius of the Earth is 6371 km. The Bible is a scientific Book. It is obvious! So?

It the Bible were a science book, it would have to be updated constantly.

How do we know that the radius of the earth changed?

If you accept plate movement and change in the ocean floor, it stands against old earth and deep time on just the tiny fact of the salinity of the oceans.

Science is moving away from millions and millions of years because of too much contradictory evidence.

No. These are the postulates of "science, fasly so called" (1Tim.6:20) KJV1611. The Bible says that this Earth is currently about 6,000 years old. The Bible is a scientific Book.

I don't see how the earth enlarged because of the Flood.

Such outlines of continental shelves can be obtained only as a result of the volumetric expansion of the Earth.

I don’t either. The only way for the earth to “enlarge” would be ....... maybe explain that part of the theory?

The earth would have had to have had a denser mass that expanded, sort of like a sponge absorbing water. Since the water was already here, just buried, I don’t see how the earth expanded.

    peace to you

“Scientists have modeled the conditions that are characteristic of the bowels of the Earth, in particular, a temperature of about 1.4 thousand degrees Celsius and a pressure 20 thousand times greater than at the surface of the planet. With these parameters, silicon dioxide contained in the mantle undergoes a chemical reaction with hydrogen, which leads to the formation of water and silicon hydride.”

The water formed at great depths as a result of this chemical reaction was rushing to the Earth's surface due to the difference in its density and the density of the surrounding magma. At a certain depth, the water from the liquid phase was passing into a gaseous state. In other words, there was an explosion. Millions of tons of hot lava mixed with superheated (1400 degrees Celsius) steam were emitting into the atmosphere from the faults. At the same time, the split parts of the Earth were spreading in different directions on the swelling Earth ...

Genesis 10:25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; his brother's name was Joktan.

Genesis 11:16 And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg.

1 Chronicles 1:25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,

Genesis 11:18 And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu.

1 Chronicles 1:19 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

"It is impossible to say exactly what year the family of Terah left Ur of the Chaldeans, but knowing the days of Peleg’s life (Gen. 10:25), we can roughly name the year in which this event occurred, and also determine the time interval during which the descendants of Noah were resettled “vpon the face of the whole earth”. Using biblical chronology, we determine that Peleg died 340 years after the completion of the Flood.

So, we can absolutely say for sure that by this time the Earth was divided, and the resettlement of Noah’s descendants was completed. This date defines the upper limit of the desired time period.

In the 292nd year, from the end of the Flood, Abram was born. If we assume that he was married at the age of 30, then the family of Terah in 322 from the end of the flood could, together with the rest of the people, leave Ur of the Chaldeans (Gen.11:29-31).

Moreover, the required time interval during which the descendants of Noah settled “vpon the face of the whole earth” will be no more than 18 years, from 322 to 340 years from the end of the Flood. This time is enough.

In 300 years after the Flood, the ecological system was restored. The land area covered by trees was rapidly increasing. Birds and animals actively proliferated in the forests, fish were breding in the rivers. This circumstance was a necessary condition for the beginning of the settlement of the tribes, since every “mouing thing that liueth” (Gen.9:3), was given to man for food after the Flood. And without using “the greene herbe” to move from south to north is even more impossible."

Here, a part of the Antarctic shelf coincides with a part of the Australian shelf, which suggests that these two continents were one in the past. The original fault line of the earth's crust is shown in green.

On this map, one can observe the initial lines of the rupture of the earth's crust, which took place during the active phase of the catastrophe, i.e. Flood. They are marked on the map with a solid green line. The dashed green line shows the implicit rupture area of the earth's crust. The process of rupture of this area continues to this day, several centimeters per year. In other words, the non-intensive phase of physicochemical processes in the bowels of the Earth, which began at the beginning of the Flood and contributed to its volumetric expansion, continues today.

The Arabian Peninsula was also formed as a result of a split in the earth's crust during the Flood.

On this map, the white line indicates the fault lines of the earth's crust, and the red arrows show the direction of movement of the magma erupted from the fault lines during the volumetric expansion of the Earth during the Flood, and, naturally, the direction of movement of the continents formed during the Flood. Not all "the fountaines of the great deepe" (Gen.7:11) (KJV1611AV) erupted from the breaks in the earth's crust, indicated on the map by a white line. For example, the Grand Canyon, Lake Baikal, the Arabian Peninsula and some other geological formations arose as a result of a break in the earth's crust without an intense lava eruption.

On the map below, the contours of the mainland parts of different continents are marked with a red marker, which before the Flood (4346 years ago) were one. And the white marker shows the direction of movement of the split parts of the land during the volumetric expansion of the Earth during the Flood. The current western boundary of the Australian shelf coincides with the outlines of the current southeastern boundary of part of the shelf of the Arabian Peninsula. Before the Flood, these parts were one.

Just curious. From what year did you go back 4346 years to get to the flood?

Every post on the forum has a date. Do you know when the flood of waters happened?
