Just started reading the 2nd edition. There are MANY changes from the original such as the sermons have been removed, chapters have been modified, and he addresses new books such as Heaven is for real, 23 Minutes in Hell, among others. MacArthur has a deep writing style (compared to most contemporary Christian authors) and this book is meant for those whom deeply hunger from the word. No his book is not as personable or easy to read as One Minute After you Die by Lutzer, AfterLife by Hanagraaf, or God Loves you by Jeremiah, but is book is deep compared to many books of today. Sure compared to Puritan writings, and that of Richard Baxter, Edwards, Spurgeon and others no, but most cant read books that deep today anyways.

Have you read it and what are your thoughts?
