The Mood of Christmas

"When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flock,
The work of Christmas begins:
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among people,
To make music in the heart."

Hmmm God the Father sent His Son to be born a man in order to pay the wage of our sin that God and man may be reconciled and God glorified and all crabby can come up with is a social justice agenda as the work of Christmas.

Seems I am good company with Jesus on this one. Frankly I believe we are to take the words of Jesus seriously and not give them labels meant to be negative. You may mock the words of Jesus, but I won't. Do so at your own risk.

Matthew 25

34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.35 I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
