    Askjo, do you believe Mary didn't know how she became Jesus' mother? And that Joseph didn't know this, either, after the various communications God had made to each of them? We gotta use come common sense here.

    J&M knew how they came to be the people who raised Jesus from childhood. After all, Gabriel told Mary that her child would be the Son of God.(Luke 1:32, 35) She didn't fully understand everything about His purpose for coming until after His resurrection, but she fully understood who He was, and we must assume Joseph did also.

    As for being Jesus' parents, J&M were the people who raised & cared for Him from His earthly infancy into adulthood. What better definition of "parents" is there?
