You have tossed a serious non-sequitur out for public consumption... The closest we can come to seeing what you propose are either the extreme RC theocracy imposed on Europe pre-Reformation or the efforts of the Pilgrims who landed at Plymouth Rock. The Catholics were more problematic, as they also had the power of the state behind them, and many of the excesses blamed on the church down through the ages were based on the actions -- non-biblical actions, BTW -- of the RCC during that time. One CANNOT find a place, OT or NT where God tells His people to torture others to get them to confess Christ. Nor, is God particularly concerned with the boundaries of nations, save Israel -- His chosen place and people.

The Pilgrim Fathers soon found their own position untenable. Sadly, they abandoned it for unitarian universalism. In the words of George Lucas (paraphrased) "billwald, they are your spiritual father..."

Seeing as how you brought this up, the burden of proof is on you to produce evidence that ANY current group of Christians, churches, denominations, et al, are indeed working toward this end. Good luck with that (assuming that you believe in luck... you do not seem to hold a high standard for God and God's people).

    Really?

A Wiki page that is unsubstantiated (and primarily answers the question as to what is reconstructionism?)...

An article by a liberal agency, where this page:

    http://www.religioustolerance.org/reconstr1.htm

Details all the activity they could find from 1999 to present...

And another liberal agency that is concerned, but again, mostly details what reconstructionism is -- but did not detail who is doing it currently.

Sorry... I'll stand on what I wrote. We KNOW what reconstructionism is. But we also know that no one who is even close to mainstream is on board. Perhaps you had Westboro in mind... :wavey:
