The Old-time Alter Call

    We have a good number of people go and kneel at our altar to pray. Their family and friends join them or deacons may lay on hands during their prayers.

    We have altar calls every service and trained people to counsel those who respond. If the counselor isn't sure they understand 'their decision', they are kept in the back rooms and can be presented later or not until they've talked with one of our pastors.

    who has a 'defense for' the alter call? we are dealing with this question as a church board and are looking at both sides of the question..wonder if there is a web site or fundamental Bible organization that defends the practice...any help out there on this question??
