Jim,

I was told that Northerners eat grits with milk and sugar... LOL, now we ate it with butter and a little salt.

Even southerners think I go overboard. I put loads of butter, a little salt, a dash of hot sauce, then a LOT of course ground black pepper.

Eaten with fried eggs, fried potatoes, southern biscuits, country ham, and gravy...wow!

Sorry for the meat on the plate Sheila, I got carried away ;) .

Good Morning Roger.

It is dull and chilly here too. We turned the heating on last night.

I hope everyone is ok. I will look in later

God Bless

I have done a lot of running around today. However, Rob and I are now registered for our modules at university. We couldn't register online for some reason, so we gave up and sorted it all out in person. We went thru' the system so quickly...that's cos I went prepared, I took my knitting with me. LOL.

Rob is going to be studying John's Gospel, which I have already done and I am studying Church Religion and Society in Victorian England. I am really looking forward to it. We start next week.

So that is my news, what is everyone else up to ?

This morning, I went looking in the back cuntry for my daughter's two dogs who went missing last night. I decided to take a back lane. That ane as gone down hill so badly, I was being bounced all over the truck. Before I reach the end, my front tyre disintegrated, so I had two choices: continue on the rim or walk. Walking was out of the question, so I drove on the rim to the regular roadway.

I just arrived there when someone happened by who drove me home for a spare. A neighbour happened to be home who offered to help change the tyre. So, we can see how the Lord blesses his own, even in ways we least expect it.

That's my story for the day.

Cheers,

Jim

Oh yes, I had an appointed at the funeral home for half one and made it there at 1:20...Wot timing!

Hi Sheila,

It never fails to astonish me how the Lord enters into our daily mundane lives and supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

No, I did not find the dogs, but they are home....leave them alone and they'll come home, wagging their tails behind them.......

Cheers,

Jim

Good Morning Jim,

Yes, it is wonderful how the Lord knows our needs before we do. He is such a gracious God. His daily provision for us is awesome when one thinks about it. We have a lot to give thanks for.

I am glad the dogs got back safe. Great that they can "walk" themselves, LOL.

Rob is mowing the lawns this morning before the rain comes. Unfortunately Sam didn't do that while we were away so they look really awful now.

I still have lots of odd domestic things to do and then I hope to settle down to some reading. Sam is doing his last minute packing before flying out to NJ tomorrow, but his coach booking to get him to Heathrow is at 2.30 am in the morning.

How about you Jim, a busy day too?

I will look in later,

God Bless

Sheila

Morning all.

A quiet day around here.

Working on my paper. Digging through the Confession of St Patrck to determine as much of his doctrine as I can. My goal is to see if there was a solid grounding for the Irish Church before it was established.

Roger, Good Morning.

That research sounds very interesting. Are resources easily obtainable? I have some new books to get for my new module. Fortunately Rob can mostly use the books I used for the John module he is studying this semester.

Blessings

My only resources for this part of the project are a an old English translation of the Confessions of St Patrick, my knowledge of scripture, and a good condordnace ;) .

We ony have two of Patrick's writitings, then nothing else real solid for about 100 years, but then a lot of unbiblical things had already crept in to the Irish Church.
