The popularity of Michael Jackson

I am sorry for his family and I hope he is in heaven....although I think it is very unlikely.

About the only good thing I can say about him as a performer is that he was truly great dancer. Right up there with Sammy Davis Jr and Fred Aastaire.

But was not a great singer, and his music was average.

But the main thing that stands out in my mind about him is that he was one of the weirdest, freakiest, scariest, most horrifying people I have ever seen

I mean, we are talking about a black man, who tried to turn into a white woman, who making himself look like a monster, who apparently never had relations with any of his "wives", and who craved haveing "sleep overs" with young children!!!

And yet people worship this guy???

I just dont get it.

Someone in another Web site felt that since MJ gave 100 million dollars to charity that it should count with God, and that if anyone made it to heaven he should.

God is not impressed by wealth, or by anyone who has so much that he can give away millions and not miss it. No one can buy his way into heaven. Unlike humans, God cannot be bought or bribed.

Someone who got God's attention was the widow in Galatians. Jesus said that she gave more with her 2 mites than the wealthy did with all their abundance. It's not how much you give but WHY you give it that matters with God. The wealthy give to get a tax write-off, or to receive the praise of others.

I agree that there was definitely something wrong with MJ. He hated being black, and he apparently hated being male. He certainly liked little boys though.

I once read that his brothers forced him into a situation with a prostitute when he was a teen, and it traumatized him so badly that it apparently turned him against women. I always believed he got married for appearance' sake and to quell the talk of him being "gay", and I always wondered if his children were really his. I can't believe he would have had sex with a woman.

My feeling is the world loved him, but he hated himself.

I think you're right. Look how he mangled his appearance trying to look other than how God made him. God doesn't make mistakes.

I believe he had a true war going on in his members...

Not having relations with his wives (although he must have a few times if he has kids) is not a crime, or a sin. I mean, if someone just isn't interested in sex, this should not make them a ''horrifying'' person.

''Sleep overs'' with young children is another matter, but as I said last week, I don't think he really understood why it was a crime due to his mental health.
