For a perspective on the current situation, try "The Rise of Babylon" by Charles Dyer.

He was in Iraq and the rebuilt site of Babylon at the invitation of Saddam Hussein in the late 1980's. Saddam envisions hmself as a new Nebuchadnezzar, even has billboards with his picture alongside Nebby's.

Dr. Dyer was a prof at Dallas Theological, and is now at Moody. A very knowledgeable and interesting person.

Try "Last Days Madness" by Gary DeMarr to show the folly of a new Babylon.
