    This board is additive! I just thought you people should know that.
    Back in August when I joined this board, I just didn't really think that much about it. I usually just signed on the Internet, checked my e-mail, wrote a couple of e-mails. And that was that.
    NOW...I can't wait to get to this board to see all that has been discussed. My Bible has always sit next to my recliner, NOW...my Bible sits right here beside me while I read posts.
    I clean house, dust, mop, sweep, hang new drapes, hang new window shade, wash clothes and the whole time, I'm looking longingly at the computer, I can't wait till I can sign on the Internet and get to the Baptist Board. What a hoot!
    Well...I just wanted to say thanks. :D

    I would say so too! Logged on over a year ago when it started, and have been here ever since! I keep one of my Bibles and my Strong's concordance next to my computer.

    Thanks! It's nice to know that there are many who are not highly visible posters who get a lot out of the discussions/debates. Because most here are extremely passionate about the Lord Jesus Christ, we sometimes defend our beliefs with that passion that somehow becomes, or seems "mean-spirited." May we all continually and constantly keep our eyes focused on Jesus, and let our "light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." - Matt 5:16

    The debates on this board are the same debates I've heard most of my life, beginning at my parents kitchen table or living room. Discussions between friends and family, Baptists or non-Baptists. It had been a long time since I'd heard some of these discussions, and it had been a while since I'd even thought about them. Plus I hadn't really thought about whether I was a conservative or a liberal, apparently I seem to be more of a conservative. [​IMG]
    I'm not very good at debating, but I certainly love to watch a good debate. It's like watching tennis, as each player returns a rebuttal. Thanks for allowing me watch! :D

    You took the words right out of my mouth! I signed on earlier this year, and though I posted some @ first, I become discouraged. However, that didn't last long, and soon I was back, posting with a vengence! [​IMG] Sometimes I literally have to turn off the computer or go outside to keep from getting on the BB just to see what's happening! LOL . . . thank the Lord I homeschool cause I know that is a big responsibility and I have to stay on top of things! That keeps me from getting on a lot of the time when I want to plop in my chair and check up on things.

    Seriously though, I have made some great friends, but the most important thing is learning to respectfully and graciously disagree with folks may not believe as I do.

    I enjoy sharing in your lives and sharing mine with you.

    You are 100% correct in saying that this board is addictive! When I see posts of people complaining about the people here, and the atmosphere, I wonder what board are they at cuz it sure ain't this one! LoL I love it here...it's my church away from church! *hehe*

    Amen to all the sentiments here! I too used to just sit back and listen, and comment only occassionaly, but it didn't take long for that to change. What I love the most is that since I started coming to this board I study my Bible more then I used to! I had my own daily devotional and would read with my son along with Church studies, but here, the more I hear stuff being said, the more I have search the Word for myself. If it gets you into the Word it can't be bad!! In fact it's great!

    There are many members here who have affected my life permanantly. Some of you know it, for I have shared that with you, and to others I have not even mentioned it. You comments and explanations and commitment to the Word have shown me areas in which I erred in my beliefs and have confirmed some others areas. What I love the most is the Spirit of love, yet firm conviction that comes through most of your posts.

    Thanks to the Webmaster and to all of you great members, those I agree and disagree with! I pray a special blessing for each one of you because you have been such a great blessing to me!

    Addictive? Addictive? I am not addicted. Just cause i have posted 900 times in the last 2+ months doesn't mean i'm addicted. Just cause I come here my every spare moment doesn't mean I'm addicted. I'm just in denial :D [​IMG] :rolleyes: hehe
