Those Mississippi Republicans (here's a link to the exact questions that were asked)

Q12 Do you think Roger Wicker is too liberal, too
conservative, or about right

Q13 If the Republican primary for Senate next year
was between Roger Wicker and a more
conservative challenger, who would you vote
for?

Q14 Do you think interracial marriage should be
legal or illegal

Interesting that Q13 wasn't balanced with a "more liberal challenger" response. Would this have skewed the answers?

Interesting set of questions and replies. I was surprised that 58% have a favorable opinion of Newt G. ... considering his checkered marital past.

No doubt the usefullness of the poll will be to link the future Republican candidate to bigots who oppose interracial marriage, no matter who it turns out to be.

The poll was mostly likely designed with that purpose in mind.

The interracial question was one question on the poll. Most of the questions were:

Do you have a favorable or unfavorable view of "Candidate X"?

Yup, and that is my point.

Poll to find out which Republican candidate is most favored and then point out that such and such a percent also oppose inter-racial marriage.

It doesn't matter who the favored candidate is and it doesn't matter what percentage oppose inter-racial marriage.

The point is to tie the favored candidate to a group of bigots.
