Tony Snow, the former White House press secretary and conservative pundit who bedeviled the press corps and charmed millions as a FOX News television and radio host, has died after a long bout with cancer. He was 53.

A syndicated columnist, editor, TV anchor, radio show host and musician, Snow worked in nearly every medium in a career that spanned more than 30 years.

I know those pictures are larger than allowed - but please leave them.

Tony Snow will be greatly missed.

I am praying for his family.

I am so sorry to hear this. May God bless his family and friends.

Tony was a conservative with class unlike folks such as Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. If more conservatives in the media were like him the movement would be far more successful, imo.

Agreed. I'll never forget his passionate editorial at the end of the Fox News Sunday broadcast the Sun after 9/11. Never.

Tony was a Cincinnati boy, born in a small town in Eastern KY of modest upbringing. Lost his mother at an early age from cancer I believe, too. Huge Reds fan. Argued famously with President Bush that Pete Rose should be in the Hall.

Well, Tony wouldn't use someone's death to bash a movement, if that's what you mean by "class".

He had plenty to say to people who called him, I listened to his show, every day. And judging by the tolerant lefty blogs, there's lots of happy liberals out there, so I'd say you are wrong on that, as well.

That's because they judge all conservatives through the same lens that they view folks such as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Mr. Limbaugh and Mr. Hannity are not worthy to tie the shoes of someone like Tony Snow was.

And we all know that there are lots of low life bloggers of various political stripes.

Yes real classy Ken, you are not! The use of his death to present you an opportunity to bash those who have very successful careers in conservative radio, well maybe liberal class clearly defined.

I remember when Tony thanked David Gregory for the "Hezbollah point of view" at a press corps meeting. He was just as confrontational as anyone, he just had a nicer voice.

No different than you using his death to present you an opportunity to praise the likes of Sean Hannity.

After going thru the CNN & LA Times blogs, I'd say Snow was as hated on the left as any conservative, and I don't think Ken, or Tom knows what they're talking about.

You'd better know it!

Liberals disparaging a class act is normal behavior for them.
