Trinity scores big?

Who here knows besides me who spoke at TRinity of Newburg's grad excersises and who accepted an honorary doc?

1. In what way is that big for Trinity?

2. I read where Dr. Paige Paterson and the late Dr. Falwell both received and even spoke at LBU's gradutations, yet LBU didn't score big.

Trinity has not put many points on the board lately. They lost the Christchurch "accreditation," they failed in their bid for regional accreditation, one former VP who told me in 2001 that TTS would be RA in 3 years, just as JW Montgomery told a pal of mine, starts another school which gives doctorates for doing six classes, another former VP comes on degreediscussion forums to fess up about Trinity's smoke and mirror tactics.

You can only go so far, even though TTS's website still somewhat does, in asserting that Liverpools $225 glossy sticker on a diploma = world-wide accreditation or that the NAPSNC connection guarantees world class education.

So, with so many zero innings, how does Trinity appear to score? Why with associations with dignitaries, of course. If Bear, not an evangelical Christian, is used by CES to bolster image just think of how Robertson may bolster Trinity.

This was done in the past. Olford in Trinity's catalogue of 2000 says Trinity is a godsend. Engstrom says Trinity's courses are carefully designed and crafted. Wow that certainly puts points on the board. Who needs to prove a claim for worldclass education if world class Christian leaders are so gratuitous?

Now, who could not wish a Trinity diploma even sans a Liverpool sticker if such a dignitary as Roberston happily accepts the Trinity award? Do not bite the hand that feeds you.

So, we have lied for years about our globular accreditation and worldclass teaching. So what? If Olford, Engstrom, and now Robertson are for us, who can be against us?

So, "Crack"..a homer over the fence or is it?

Maybe if TTS can now get a recommendation also from John Bear, that expert on what is a good education in Christian Theology (?), TTS would even win the game?

==I'm sure if I paid enough money and made the proper arrangements I could get Pat Robertson, or anyone else, to speak at my backyard picnic. I don't see how this is a big thing "for" Trinity. All it shows is that they have someone who knows how to bring in the big names.

If it does not have the potential of luring students to sign on, I doubt Trinity would bother
