Trump Invokes ‘Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’ at Christmas Tree Lighting

Presiding over the annual lighting of the national Christmas tree on Thursday night, President Trump highlighted the season’s Christian message, invoking “our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” and a life that “forever changed the course of human history.”

“For Christians this is a holy season, the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” he said, standing alongside first lady Melania Trump on a platform at the Ellipse near the White House.

“The Christmas story begins 2,000 years ago with a mother, a father, their baby son, and the most extraordinary gift of all – the gift of God’s love for all of humanity,” he continued.

Strangely enough he said just about what I myself say. Hillary would never had said anything like that. And the White House Christmas cards say, "Merry Christmas" for the first time in many years.

And we just went through 8 years of a president that avoided the name of Jesus Christ like the plague.

Yep.
I went back through Obama's transcripts for his Christmas tree lighting (usually first week of December) and his Christmas message (typically given a day or two before Christmas) and I found him saying "Savior" in 2016, and "Jesus" in 2015, but going back to 2010, he never said Jesus, Savior, or Lord Jesus in any of these two traditional Christmas events for the President from 2010 through 2014.
