Trump was crazy (more so than usual) in that last debate. But what I found fascinating was Bush's response. If he had been like that 8 months ago I think we would have a different election. My husband and I were talking about it and wonder if just maybe, Bush realizes he can't win, but he can spoil it for someone else while going down.

My question has always been: Why did President Bush and Vice President Cheney refuse to testify under oath to the 9/11 Commission? What were they trying to hide? Secondly, why was the President left in a dangerous situation after the attacks where everyone in the world knew where he was? Why did Air Force 1 take off without fighter escort? Why couldn't the strongest military power on earth protect its two most important cities? There was plenty of warning and time to do so. My understanding is that thje Pentagon is protected by missile batteries. Why did these fail? And on, and on, and on....

    Who says it did?
The whole point of a surprise attack.
Your understanding is wrong. Have you ever been to Washington DC? If you had you would know the Pentagon is located right under the approach for Washington's Ronald Reagan airport. Any SAM battery would be shooting down airliners all day long!

Here is a picture taken out the window of an airliner approaching Reagan International Airport in Washington DC.

As you can see the plane is turning right to begin its final approach, which takes it right over the Pentagon. This happens several hundred times per day. The red arrow at the top is the runway and the red arrow at the bottom is the wing of the airliner.

No way for the Pentagon to be protected by SAMs. :)

Why didn't President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore testify under oath to the 9/11 commission?

Your question makes it sound as if Bush and Cheney were not questioned at all. In fact, they answered questions for over 3 hours in a private meeting with the commission. Clinton and Gore also met with the commission.

Nice innuendo. They were asked questions and they answered them.

Commission member Tim Roemer, a Democrat and former congressman from Indiana, said Bush was "very direct" in his answers. "He was cooperative, he was frank, he was gracious with his time," Roemer told CNN.

Congratulations on getting an Admin nod .... Please don't take this personally, TC, but, I only hope you can be fair, because you have given me many negative comments and ratings, and your response to Evan was exactly like the one you gave me. You felt your emoge's ere right on, while mine were in retaliation.

You remind me of the things some dislike about Trump. That your view is ALWAYS correct, while everyone else is personally attacking against your superior insight, wisdom and spirituality. I am sure you may not agree, and that is okay. But, it is my observation, something your comments to Evan triggered in my heart. Regardless, brother, I love you. I even enjoy your comments. I don't always agree, but, that is a two way street, I am sure.

I pray you can be objective and not subjective in your tasks as a forum admin. Shalom!

Trump stands his ground. Didn't change his approach because the audience booed. And he's gaining momentum.

Carson: "Is this what we really want?"
    What a wimp.

Bunyan: "CIVILITY, notwithstanding his simpering looks, he is but a hypocrite, and cannot help thee."

Jeb: "My brother was keeping America safe . . ."

Together the Bushes couldn't keep Terri Schiavo safe.

He's not gaining momentum, he's losing it. If Trump is gaining momentum why is his lead shrinking in almost every poll?

Why did Air Force 1 take off without fighter escort?

Um...it didn't. For example, someone might watch this take-off, and ask the same question: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHEvp4aTJV4

And the answer would be: Fighter escort was already in the air, waiting for AF1 to take-off or confirm mission abort. If you're a "bodyguard," you don't wait for the person you're protecting to be in a vulnerable position before you take up protective position. You take up protective position, so the primary is never in a vulnerable position.

The lengths some people go to create conspiracies....

Trump sounded like the bombastic narcissist that he is. He was constantly interrupting everyone, then insulting them and finally, calling them names -- his favorite being "liar." For his supporters, he was once again standing his ground. To the rest of us, he simply sounded like a jerk.

It think Trump is very popular with the grass roots of centrist America because he has tapped into the anger most Americans feel about the present state of our government. He is saying the things, and displaying the attitudes, that most Americans want to say and are feeling.

But even though talking back to the political establishment is a good thing, it takes a lot more to run a country of almost 4 million square miles and 330 million people and guide the foreign policy of the arguably most powerful country in the world.

Personally I want someone who has more to offer than calling people offensive names. :)

I honestly don't understand how Donald Trump has done what he has in business. The bankruptcies seem more consistent with his personality.

He talks like people do when they don't know what they are talking about. The style is obvious. And if this is the same style he has used in the "art of the deal", then who you know and how much money you've already got obviously helps.

He speaks like a used car salesman and not like a corporate executive. Not necessarily a bad thing I guess. But if he's going to keep touting himself as this terrific businessman, he needs to learn how to communicate without sounding like he's always trying to pull the wool over people's eyes to make himself sound more intelligent than he actually is.

I guess that shtick has worked in the circles in which he runs because it is accepted by the folks who bend at the flashing of his money.

But to your run of the mill half way intelligent voter, he sounds stupid and like the type of person you'd expect to see in jail for committing white collar crime, and thinking he could get away with it because he's "so much smarter than everyone else".

    Trumps theme song.

I had a friend named Ramblin' Bob
Who used to steal gamble and rob
He thought he was the smartest guy in town
But I found out last Monday
That Bob got locked up Sunday
They've got him in the jailhouse way down town
He's in the jailhouse now he's in the jailhouse now
I told him once or twice quit playin' cards and shootin' dice
    He's in the jailhouse now

I think Trump is just to unpredictable. If he thinks he can get away with most anything now and not lose support (his claim) then what will his attitude be when he gets into office. To much of a wild card even if I liked his plan.

I agree he has tapped into the anger of the country. He would leave everyone behind if he just has some self control.

Bush and Cheney refused to testify to the 9/11 Commission. They also refused to testify anywhere under oath. They allowed some pre-selected newsmen to question then in the White House but didn't allow any recording of their responses and didn't even allow taking notes. I ask the question again. What were they trying to hide by not cooperating with the Commission. The people of New York VOTED to have a real investigation made about 9/11 but that was struck down by a Federal Judge.
