I guess sick, poor kids do not matter. After all Trump has enough money that his family need not worry.

President Donald Trump's budget plans to cut the Children's Health Insurance Program by at least 20% over the next two fiscal years and slash Medicaid, which covers millions more children.

Millions of poor and working families could lose their health coverage if his proposed budget, released Tuesday and called "A New Foundation for American Greatness," gets through as-is. It would hit children's health care hard and break Trump's campaign promise to "save" Medicaid "without cuts."

I was the first & only potential GOP candidate to state there will be no cuts to Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. Huckabee copied me.

Over the next decade, the proposed budget would cut Medicaid more than $800 billion, or nearly a quarter of what the health care program is projected to spend on poor families.
Poor children are covered by a complicated mix of programs. Medicaid covers 37 million children. The Children's Health Insurance Program, known as CHIP, has 8.9 million enrolled. Together, these two programs cover about one in three American children, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Health care is NOT a Federal responsibility- per the 10th Amendment - If anything - allow the States/Commonwealths to attend to Health Care- if they so choose

This statement is the key. This budget does not cut anything it reduces the amount of increase on future budgets. The op is fake news.

He promised welfare cuts. Why does this surprise you? I am thrilled he did it. I know several people who drive $45k cars and their children are on Medicaid. As far as I am concerned, good job Trump.

Hey, how come the mothers and fathers of those children are not paying for health care for their own offspring? Where is it written that I have to have my hard earned money taken from me to provide this service for other people's responsibilities? My purpose here on earth is not to work hard and then have to turn over more and more of my wages to the government so they can give it to others.

It's all in how you word it. CNN is telling a small truth wrapped in a larger lie.

Medicaid spending will continue to increase over the next 10 years in the Trump budget. It's not being CUT at all.
