Twitter bans political ads

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey announced via Twitter, “We’ve made the decision to stop all political advertising on Twitter globally.

Sounds fair? Twitter already has a reputation of censoring conservatives. And, the Democrat candidates are pressuring Twitter and the other tech giants to engage in more censorship of conservatives.

Every Saturday Night, SNL runs what amounts to free political advertising for Elizabeth Warren (and Hillary Clinton before the last presidential election). So, if SNL banned political advertising during their show, Elizabeth Warren would still get political advertising, and for free, but Trump wouldn't have a voice.

Even worse with SNL, they run non-stop lies defensible only with the excuse that it's just a skit and they don't claim what they say is true. But, people believe those skits. People think Sarah Palin really said she could see Russia from her house. People really believe the anti-Trump lies and the pro-Warren lies told by SNL.

Advertising bans make it harder for conservatives to overcome media bias. There's nothing fair about banning political ads, even if they're banned on both sides.

"Yesterday, @jack announced that @Twitter//@TwitterGov will no longer run political ads. These include campaign ads AND issue based ads (i.e. about healthcare). Ostensibly, this is to avoid groups paying to have inaccurate information published, something that Jack states "shouldn't be compromised by money." This seems to come from a good place - but it puts third party and independent political efforts in a hard spot. Status quo political forces have immense coverage. Their message is carried by media for free. Meanwhile, outsiders like us are dependent on promotional content to connect with Americans on important issues. While @Twitter is within their rights to make this choice, it only serves to help entrench moneyed political interests moving forward." - @LPNational (via Twitter)

Trump is the main twitter user. When he leaves office, he should take twitter with him. Facebook already has lost the young people--they left it to their grandparents. Social media is run by control freaks in silicon valley who are worth billions and are derisively called the Masters of the Universe. It they are banning political ads, it must mean that they are getting any except from conservatives and they are aware that their uber leftists clones are losing the elections worldwide.

The progressive left has never been shy of lying, deceiving, or stacking the deck. They cannot afford a level playing field or real debate.
