    You know, I don't have an issue with women being teachers. Our coed Sunday School class is taught by a couple and she is almost as active in the teaching as he is. Teaching a class and preaching, i believe are 2 different things.

    Karen, I don't 'see' BaptistBoard.com being a church. I am also not in authority here. There is a difference, in my opinion, in giving one's thoughts and interpretations and being a teacher.

    I participate freely in the discussion in our mixed Sunday School class and if the male teacher asks a question that others cannot answer, I will give them the scripture reference or read from my study Bible.

    If only the men would study their lesson or read their Bible...

    Does this explain how I feel? Hope so!

    Karen, one thing is that Paul's instructiosn were for what we do in church. How the church functions, and the order of the church.
