    Opps - looks like we missed it by about 3 weeks

    18 Sep 1947 is the official birthday of the USAF
    Though its history does go back to 1 Aug .1907 as the Aeronautical Division, US Army Signal Corps

    I was in the USAF 1960-1964 with early out in 63 for Christmas. Griffiss AFB Rome NY.

    This is me as an E3 i made E4 before i got out.
    i was prouder of the fact that i qualified as expert on the .30 caliber carbine than that i made E4 :)

    1979-85. I was a A207X1, Airborne Morse Systems Operator. I was a crew member of RC-135 Rivet Joint aircraft. My ground stations were RAF Chicksands, England and Offutt AFB in Bellevue, NE, however, I as TDY everywhere.
