VBS (I really don't like that term. I wish we could come to a new word....) for some churches is not something they should do. There is nothing like positive change.

When I changed my concept of the joint worship and the FUN you can have teaching and worship Jesus, Bible school blew the top for me.

Sure, we call it Family Fun Night. Pretty basic stuff really choose a fun theme, door prizes, singing, eating and perhaps a few games with my wife giving a short bible lesson. The big key is doing EVERYTHING together no age group division. Grandma is eligible to win the same door prizes as the kids. When we went swimming, we did it together. We even served RED Kool-aid (gasp)! Do you know when the last time some of our adults drank kool-aid! It was great to see a few of them with red mustaches.

VBS is not evil or bad; just a method that is on the way out. Which is fine because one thing I have learned is that what is old today will be new and inventive tomorrow

we just finished our second night of VBS...the theme is "Wild West Witness" and the kids dress western, the decor is western, and we are having a closing night "rodeo" on Friday, and Pastor will present the Gospel to the parents that night....kids are getting saved, I love VBS!!

I am doing the music....pray for me.
