Lethal Fists?? Cage Fighting is Being Promoted Everywhere!

This was not a surprise considering that the UFC is opening their own gyms, nationwide. They offer all forms of kickboxing and cage fighting techniques to ALL ages.

Earlier, this year, my wife and I drove by a new UFC gym, and I told her then that this will promote some very dangerous form of defensive and recreational activities in the future. :tear:

This kind of training will eventually be utilized by those of all ages (who partake of the gym's programs) to defend themselves, or bully others.

Left unchecked, this is one brand of free enterprise that could result in some serious injuries and even deaths (accidental, and not so accidental).

Very poor parenting to put children in that kind of environment.

Do you think that there needs to be a law to prevent this?

First keep in mind this was in England and that country has very little resemblance to conscience towards God or His values, but we are not far behind.
That being said I am not suggesting that martial arts for 8 year olds is wrong. We have 8 year olds that play football, race dangerous motor cycles in motor cross, karate tournaments, and much more and think nothing of it. The problem is the environment in which this was done. Nearly naked women presenting trophies to the 8 year old contestants, the clear desire of the crowd to see one of them take out the other and so on. So in light of that I do feel there should be some standards that protect these young boys from being exposed to the dirt that has risen with this sport.
