Lansing, MI--Some fortunate pastor is going to win 10-thousand dollars next summer--simply for following his calling to preach the Word of God! The Amy Foundatoin, founder of the prestigious Amy Writing Awards, has just announced the First Amy Pastor Awards.

Fifteen cash awards totalling $30,000 dollars will be given to winning pastors simply for submitting 10 sermon outlines, based on each of the 10 components of Christ-centered disciple making as defined by the foundation's comprehensive brochure-- Becoming a Christ Centered, Disciple-Making Church, available free from participating Christian bookstores or via the Amy website.

The deadline for entries is June 30, 2004, so pastors have plenty of time to obtain a free copy of the brochure and complete set of Rules and Submission Guidelines before they begin to prayerfully craft and fine tune their 10 sermon outlines. Any pastor or associate pastor serving an organized congregation is eligible to make a submission for the $10,000 first prize or the 14 other cash awards.

For mre information, you can call toll free 1-877-727-4262, or long onto http://www.amyfound.org

Shazam, and all of this time I have been writing fer free. ;) Actually, I don't know anything about the organization, but if anyone wants to actually commend someone for doing well and even adding a bit of cash to it can you fault that? I am already wirting so if the Yanks in MI think anything I write is worth $10 grand then it is not love of money on my part. Now, if I have to compromise anything to get the award then yes there is a problem. I once got a Freedom Foundation award (no money) for something I wrote. Why can't a preacher get something for just doing what he does?
