Warren praises Obama for inviting homosexual bishop

Since this country was founded on Christian principles (which has been tainted by liberals as liberals always move things in a secular direction Christian or otherwise) this is contrary to this founding principles of this nation.
OK, I am as about as conservative as can be.. but I realize that one's sexual orientation doesn't erase one's right as a citizen in this country..
I am against giving them "special" rights... but they already have rights afforded them by the constitution simply because they are legal citizens.
They should not be excluded because they are citizens. It is that simple...
Do I disagree with their agenda... ABSOLUTELY.. but they are God's creation.. they have a soul, and need saved. Shunning them will never reach them for Christ.
Some here act as if we need leper colonies...
What would you do if a homosexual walked into your church?
I would welcome them. Preach to them, and encourage them to turn to Jesus to help them out of the bondage they are in.
I like to think Jesus would do the same...
Unless you want to rewrite John 3:16... "For God so loved the world.. except.... _______________" And if you start naming categories... you had better watch out.. because chances are, someone will name a category that fits you.
That is the danger of excluding people... God came for all.
Not just those you like.

The issue for me, in this story, is Mr. Warren's constant praise for Mr. Obama's actions even when those actions are unChristian and unBiblical (same thing).

In some ways Mr. Warren is correct. Mr. Obama is demonstrating his commitment to bring all sorts of Americans together. However I don't believe I, as a Bible believing follower of Christ, can have any real common ground with someone like Robinson. He believes that he can redefine sin, live in sin, glory in sin, and protect his sin. I believe that all sin is lawlessness (1Jn 3:4) that offends a Holy God. I believe sin causes temporal and eternal death (Ez 18:4,20, Rev 20:14, 21:8) and seperates people from God (Is 59:2). Mr. Robinson is a false teacher who spreads lies and death (2Pet 2, Jude, etc). The result of his unrepentant sin and public endorsement of sin will decieve many (2Pet 2:2) and send many to hell (2Pet 2:20-22). I cannot have any common ground with such a heretic. And assuming Mr. Warren is a true Christian neither can he. Therefore I find Mr. Warren's call for common ground to be baseless.
Now, should homosexuals be excluded from government? As long as we allow drunks, fornicators, adulterers, liars, and cheats to be in government I see no reason to block homosexuals.
