was the NKJV based ONLY On The TR then For NT Greek text used?

    That is why it confuses me why those holding to KJVO would NOT regard the NKJV as being "just' another revision of the KJV, just as 1789 revised the 1611 edition!

    The clue is in the 'O.' KJV Only. There are several articles giving reasons why the NKJV is supposedly not up to scratch. If you're interested, try here: http://www.tbsbibles.org/pdf_information/130-1.pdf Malcolm Watts who wrote the article is a fine preacher and scholar, and he does score a few hits. However, it would be quite possible to write a critique of the KJV and score even more. Inerrancy is not found in translations; they all have one thing in common- they were written by fallible men.

    Funny how the specific passage you pointed to is literally translated as "reasoning" - what is this? It is the man-invented "arguments" against the pure Gospel - against the reality - the TRUTH of God, His nature, and most importantly - His Beloved Son.

    So in the sake of "accuracy" in translation, I fail to see how the rendering of the NKJV is any less accurate in meaning than the KJV (Or the NASB which translates logismos' as "speculations" - but it also begins the verse itself with a slightly different take:

    "We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,"

    The Geneva Bible, the KJV, and the NKJV can all be considered translations of the same underlying original language texts.

    Titus 1:8 one that loveth goodness (Geneva) lover of good men (KJV) lover of what is good (NKJV)
    Titus 1:12 always (Geneva, NKJV) alway (KJV)
    Titus 2:2 love (Geneva, NKJV) charity (KJV)
    Titus 3:3 in times past (Geneva) sometimes (KJV) once (NKJV)
    Titus 3:13 lack nothing (Geneva, NKJV) nothing be wanting (KJV)
