    Thomas Jefferson was with the Democrat-Republican Party
    So in todays political sway - would you say that Jefferson would have
    been a Republican or a Democrat - or maybe even a Libertarian?

    Andrew Jackson was the first Democrat.

    Trying to shoehorn previous parties into the current parties is a fool's errand. Federalists and Whigs and Denocratic-Republicand and Know-Nothings were what they were, and there were reasons why they each died out.

    Jefferson wrote his own version of the bible, ripping out Christ's divinity. Democrats today are socialist technocrats of big government controlling it all who also want to keep God out, and humanism in.

    I had no idea!

    Now the world knew about Jefferson’s private Bible, and from 1904 to the 1950s, incoming Senators received their own copy of the Bible. That practice ended once the government-sponsored printing ran out, but in the 1990s, economist Judd W. Patton revived the tradition, and began mailing it to each member of Congress.​
