I have seen in a many of churches that I see the people go into the rest room and use it, then they come out never washing there hands...

I guess this adds somthing to givineg your Brother, or Sister the "right hand of fellowship"....

How many of you have seen the same thing?

    Gotta love it.

Its especially nice when you see an employ at a store do it. I was at a Barnes and Noble in Texas and the manager on duty was in the bathroom when I was. He just happened to be someone that I knew. I finished first and was washing my hands. He came up next to me at the mirror, fixed his hair, adjusted his waitband, and then left. I had to leave the store. I mean, really, how many of the books has he now soiled!?

I know probably half every we know doesn't wash their hands. But unless we're in the bathroom with them, like matt was, how do we know?
I, by the way, am fanatical about washing my hands.

Our pastor told a story of being away and going to a pizza place for lunch. He went into the restroom and used the facilities and there was another guy who came in right after him. The gentleman used the facilities and proceeded to walk right out of there. Pastor was grossed out by that but he figured it was that guy's problem. He came out, sat down and right across the counter from where he was sitting was the guy from the bathroom - flipping some dough for a pizza!! Needless to say, he left the restaurant.

Interestingly enough, I remember there was some study where a huge percentage of people say they wash their hands yet a much smaller percentage actually do.

I make sure I wash my hands a LOT - I have the dry, scaley hands to prove it. But I also keep in my purse some Purel and I will be sure to use that if I were to shake someone's hand or even for when I use the computer at church (it's a shared computer). It's just gross to think about.

I wash my hands even if I'm only in there to fix my hair or put some lipstick on. I wash my hands whenever I leave home and come back again, also. I'm really conscious about not touching my face until I can get home to fash them first. I try not to touch handles, buttons, and knobs. I dislike hand shaking a lot. A habit, I guess.

    love,

Some of us are mildly obsessive-compulsive, so washing hands is a way of life... even if we don't actually need to use the restroom for anything but handwashing.

Culturally, we normally only shake hands with men. With women, we normally hug and/or kiss on the cheek.

    Is this better?

Remember: The right hand is yours, the left hand is mine. Shake hands, open doors, slap people--whatever you do--with the right hand, but scratch, pick, rub, open gum, etc. with the left hand.
I always wash, then used the paper towels to get more paper towels from the dispenser and to open the door. I HATE bathrooms with only a blower to dry your hands. The environment is not more important than my health!

    I'm with you there!

By the way, not washing your hands after using the restroom is a great way to catch Hepatitis A.

I work at a university and am appalled when I see someone not wash their hands --especially professors w/ph.d's. Then they wonder why they are sick all the time.

With many of the teens, I simply use the "Howie Mandel" pound. (I'm not a germaphobe, that's just the thing to do.)

    Perhaps you should try that.

We have begun referring to hand sanitizer as "Fellowship Juice", and it goes on ASAP when church is over.

A Navy and an Air Force guy were in the head. After doing their business, the Navy guy starts to wash his hand and the Airman heads for the door. The Navy guy yells "Hey Airman, doesn't the Air Force teach you to wash your hands after you pee?" "No," the Airman replies, "the Air Force teaches me not to pee on my hands."

Seriously, even though I wash my hands, I do not worry about it. My German Chemistry professor at UMD always said that whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I'm with you, I don't worry about it too much. I wash my hands after potty time and before meals.

Having said that, you ever seen someone who washes their hands before and after using the RR? What up with that?

Korean men have a strange custom. Many will wash before but not after.
