Wasn't Spain foreign pollicy supposed to make them safer?

    Why are the Islamic extremist bombing Spain still? I thought they bombed them last time because they were helping America in Iraq and that once they left they would be safer. What happened this time to make the poor terrorists mad? The Spanish were duped into believing appeasment would make them safer.

    Ben W is correct, as usual.

    Were the bombings in Spain Islamic or Basque? At any rate there has been Islamic terror activity since the defeat of Spain. Spain is on the chopping block because Islam is angry that they were defeated by Spain in 1492.

    I think that France is in a dangerous position.

    I suppose it is to be expected that neo-con dupes would confuse ETA with al Qaeda! Tehy just cannot see the wood for the trees [too busy trying to find non-existent entities hiding behind the trees I suppose].

    You have nothing to apologize for Joe. You are absolutely right and history proves you so. Europe tried to appease Hitler while he was building his third reicht, breakinjg every treaty Germany signed afdter WW 1. They appeased until it was too late.
