This is a great web site if you want to send packages to our deployed troops overseas:

    http://anysoldier.com/

Our church recently got in touch with our Army National Guard and collected items (packaged snacks, white athletic socks, chap stick, pens, personal care items, stationary, crossword puzzle books, Christian DVDs and CDs, individually wrapped candy, chewing gum, baby wipes, other items the troops had requested), New Testaments & Devotional Books & shipped them to a unit CO of 85 troops who have been deployed to Iraq for nearly a year. We also worked with our local American Legion post and gave them supplies to send to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The US Postal Service has a flat rate box designed for military shipments with no weight restrictions, you can stuff the box (not very big) full. Each box costs $10.95 to ship to the APO.

This is a small way that we can show our appreciation for the sacrifices made by our men and women in the military who are doing the job they have been called to do.
