Syria. We invaded Syria. Anyone out there care?

What does anyone suppose the people in Brazil or Botswana conclude about the US invading other countries around the world? How many countries have we invaded in the last 7 years? the last 20 years? How many declarations of war have been issued since the 1945? Zero?

Exactly how are different from Japan's bombing of Hawaii? Is the difference Japan couldn't finish what they started and we think we can?

This is incorrect. To say we invaded a country is to suggest that we remain in country and are taking it over. What we dd was a surgical strike to take out those alqaeda forces who are killing our troops and innocent civilians.

In the case of Afghanistan, troops are there by invitation of the people. It is hardly an invasion, in my opinion.

    Cheers,

    Jim

So if it is an invasion. If there are terrorists killing American lives from across the border, then more power to our military. Syria is a terrorists state. Syria is perfectly welcome to do something about the situation if they please.

Don't you know the Gov. can do no wrong if your guy is in control of the oval office.

Terrorists killing americans and some think we should do what, sit back and take it and there by inviting more terrorist acts against us, talk gently and lovingly to them 'oh please mr. terrorist, please don't kill americans'.
    Yeah right.

And apparently the flip side of that coin is that the Gov. continually does wrong when your guy is not in control of the oval office...:tonofbricks:

I don't have a guy in the race or on the horizon. A smart citizen is critical when need be regardless of whoever is running the show.

Granted. However, there is a huge difference in being critical and posting inaccurate and false statements in an attampt to make a particular administration or Gov. official look bad.

This action was totally justified. They cross the Syrian border to attack American lives, spill American blood, and we should just say, oh golly, we cannot cross the line. Baloney. Three cheers for the raid. If we thought more like this, we would be out Iraq.

What if Russia "made a surgical strike" into the United States. How would you view that?

With several mushroom clouds. We are not harboring terrorists that cross borders and kill Russian citizens. Like I said above, Syria is welcome to do something about the situation.

Yet another example of someone who has the inability to make legitimate comparisons.
