    circumcision was a covenant between God and abraham - was it not? i dont think it was a law was it?

    But, in Paul's day it had become a Symbol of all the The Law meant and had become...

    As well as a touch stone as to whether you were a 'Legal' Jew or not. One who kept the Covenant.

    The Abrahamic Covenant called for Abraham and his seed after him to be Circumcised...

    The Judaizers were trying to apply Abraham's Covenant to Gentile Believers and in so doing would claim a convert to the True Judaism. (Glory in your flesh)
