That would depend on why it does not have deacons.
So...???In the case I was involved in - I became interm pastor of a church. There were only 3 members - all women.
What's the reason not to have had a deacon?

If no need for formal pastors, why did God inspire Paul to write about their qualifications then?So you believe that because you have posted your false doctrine on this board more "clerics and prelates" will be "unemployed"? Really?
People think way to much of what they post on this board. It reaches narcissistic levels around here.

I sincerely doubt that any Baptist Church can really claim this particular....anyway, I personally have never seen it. Is there really one that anyone can point to as an example (a real one, not a fudge factor one)Saved, Baptized Church membership
Every Baptist church I have ever been a member of. And that count now stands at 11 churches. Want me to name them?Is there really one that anyone can point to as an example (a real one, not a fudge factor one)
I have never seen "actively carrying out the Great Commission" .... they do occasionally talk the talk......never though, walk the walk. Why is that?A Definition of New Testament Church:
A New Testament Church is an organized, autonomous band of immersed Believers, having New Testament Officers, practicing New Testament Ordinances, and actively carrying out the Great Commission.

Nope. With the exception of 2 all are west of the Mississippi.Any in New Jersey......?!?
Certainly. Simply because any unregenerate were simply in attendance and not a member being as the requirement for membership is to be a baptized believer. No I want you to prove to me that they are truly Transformed people, truly regenerate. Can you do that?
Every ministry of our church is for the purpose of evangelistic outreach.I have never seen "actively carrying out the Great Commission" .... they do occasionally talk the talk......never though, walk the walk. Why is that?

Then they are not members, are they. But Ive seen those who claim it but they are not.

And what does the meaningless (and more than slightly self-righteous) cliche "walk the walk" mean to you? Are you accusing all Christians (except yourself, of course) of not being as spiritually mined as you are?
Then they are not members, are they.
So it's not really a church service, it's more like an evangelistic outreach every sunday morning?your off base....I'm simply saying that there are people (in every baptist church Ive been affiliated with) who are unsaved. They pretend salvation but they are not & you see that by their actions. In these churches, the Pastor spends the lions share of his time trying to reach them as apposed to developing saved people to being disciples.
No, they aren't. They can't be. The requirement is that they must be a believer!Oh yes they are.......sad isnt it.
Its exactly what Biblicist claims regarding his many (now) posts about The Great Commission, so I suppose that there is a evangelistic element but I see most are content to sit in the pews (kinda a Pray Pay & Obey Mentality) & thats the direction they stay in..... see if they get Baptized, Say the right thing, get accepted by the group they think they have arrived.......but see it shows no fruit. So it's not really a church service, it's more like an evangelistic outreach every sunday morning?
Interesting...yes i do have a mind to visit NJ, i was born and raised in Philly/nj...what part? Its exactly what Biblicist claims regarding his many (now) posts about The Great Commission, so I suppose that there is a evangelistic element but I see most are content to sit in the pews (kinda a Pray Pay & Obey Mentality) & thats the direction they stay in..... see if they get Baptized, Say the right thing, get accepted by the group they think they have arrived.......but see it shows no fruit.
Its kinda like this, probably a lousy analogy, but here goes 'Dating Service vs the Date' LOL! We contract with the dating service, we are concerned with those people liking us, that we've filled out all the paperwork etc but we havent gone on the date (told you it was silly) ..... but see whats really telling, we aren't in love yet, we havent met the one we would give everything up for, its not transformation...we just think it is & we are.
My own experience with God was similar....for years I thought I was a Christian but I really wasn't. Churches validated me as Christian, I was on the books, participated but I really wasn't there.....I didn't really have a changed heart nor was I transformed / regenerated.....and that is what I see happening here. These folks are on the books, dunked, church members etc., but they (Are Not transformed) and that causes serious consequences. And I can name them if you want me to.....but the end result is no growth, rather a shrinking into nothingness. Come take a look if you have a mind to visit New Jersey. Its sad!!!
