In one statement, you demonstrate that you have absolutely no concept of what a theological liberal is. I can't say for sure but I doubt any of the "liberals" you rail against have 3 living wives in other words cannot rule his own house well. You are probably talking about their denial of KJVOnlyism... and again you would be wrong. At best with deference to DocCas, KJVOnlyism has been around for maybe 120 years or so. KJVOnlyism is a departure from orthodoxy... so it cannot be conservative nor fundamental.
What a joke! The moderators here basically enforce civility... but that's what Ruckmanites have the most difficulty with isn't it. They have no factual arguments so in classic 1960's radicals style they yell at and attack the opposition to deflect the truth.
Are you in the clique? No one seems to be stopping you except when you are disrespectful.
Ruckman teaches own heretical views on the Bible...
Which is why he took another man's wife to marry, right?
Yes indeed. The kind that will tell you the truth about the Bible and Ruckman.
Why don't you invite the good "Doctor" in here? Let's see if he has anything to say when he can't shout down the opposition.

Do the people that God warns about cause any concern for you? They do for me and that is why I take the stand that I do. Truth is precious and when it is distorted, it needs to be answered. I do not need to come here Ruckman. I have heard him; I have read his books; I have read his articles. I know what he believes and I know what Scripture teaches. That is why I follow Scripture and take a stand against false doctrine. My love for truth will allow me to do no other. Ruckman has been warned privately and publicly for years. He has shown no repentance and continues to divide people. I can't help but think that Titus 3:10-11 address people like this: Reject a factious man after a first and second warning, knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.

I'm sure this came as quite a shock to Thomas & Larry that the definition of liberal changed overnight and that we're all now liberals for believing God's Word! :D

Logical argument is weak; pound pulpit amd shout. When that fails, attack the opponents person; there is no defence there.

Ready to have an answer......Hmmmm. sometimes the answer precedes the question. After 56 years in ministry, I think I am above the presumptions that tumble my way. Oh, and to add a little firepower you missed by not knowing me.....being a British Baptist of old, I wear a clergy collar and Geneva gown in the pulpit, but I promise never to heckle your off-coloured cravat or tie....look man! you shoe lace is untied!

God bless us. Every one. (Tiny Tim in Charles Dickens', A Christas Carol...not sure which version)

    Cheers in the Lord,

    Jim

Are the charges that Dr. Ruckmann is 3 times married true? If so, how does he justify such a thing in light of the scriptures????

Sister Deb email Bro.Coley, and ask him that question. He can explain this to you and show you the scriptures to prove it. I think he also has it on audio or video tape.Yes he has been married three times, but that doesn't mean you cannot preach.

Yes it is true that he has been married three times. I believe his defense is that they left him and therefore he is able to remarry and continue in the ministry. It is remarkable how the "husband of one wife" is so elastic when it becomes personal. We might understand it if it happened one time. I mean everyone makes a bad choice now and again. But three times?? What kind of judgment does this man have? How does this qualify for ruling your own household well?

I think it demonstrates that when it comes to personalities, quite often desires or affection for a person take a back seat to biblical teaching. We need men who will stand by Scripture and be willing to stand up and call sin what it is. We should not pussyfoot around it no matter how much we like what a person says.

How does marriage fit in this?? Jer 3:8 states that God himself divorced Israel;besides,Dr Ruckman's stand for the AV1611 brings much critisim from others. Lets face it, if it was John Doe defending the infalabilty of the KJV we would be John Doe-ites!!The AV1611 bible is the one that is hated.

So you think divorce and remarriage are okay then?

Marriage fits in because those who are pastors (which Ruckman was after his many failures) are supposed to be blameless -- a one woman kind of man who knows how to rule his house. That is the biblical qualifications that are found in the KJV. If we believe the KJV, then Ruckman is disqualified from ministry. There are some other reasons why (such as sober, gentle, etc.) but this is one of them.

Who hates the KJV?? I certainly don't and I don't know anyone who does. Can you name one person from this forum who hates the 1611?

    Sis Deb,
Amist all the criticism of Dr. Ruckman, here are a few things that might hold some importance, to some people. Last year the church that Dr. Ruckman pastors gave over $280,000 to missions. They support well over 100 missionaries, and have produced several hundred pastors and missionaries under Dr. Ruckman's ministry. Oh, by the way Dr. Ruckman has lead many thousands of souls to Christ. If I read the scriptures correctly, there is laid up a soul winner's crown for Dr. Ruckman. In one service at the church over $38,000 was taken up for a missionary to America that was dying with cancer. He must be teaching right on giving. According to this, Dr. Ruckman must be doing something right. How many of us as Christians have a resume like this? These are some things that no matter how much criticized by man cannot be taken away by man.
    In Christ,
    Bro. Tim

So is it okay to live in sin and to flaunt it so long as we get results??

Yes it is hated,no one blasts the other versions with the other versions;it all comes to one version, the KJV. Who cares if WHOEVER was married to WHO!!! Big Deal. The problem is the so called "poor, archaic, outdated and HARD to read" KJV.Must be somthing to it then??(KJV)

Japheth, you answered Pastor Larry's statement about the KJV being hated (which I don't; I personally prefer the KJV over all other versions, and don't find it any harder to read than the NIV).

However, you didn't actually respond to this part of his message:
I'm curious to see your answer to that.

To those that pulled numbers out to substantiate your loyalty to Mr. Ruckmann:

Benny Hinn probably "saves" more people than Mr. Ruckmann has. If the numbers game validates a person's ministry, then Benny is infinitely more qualified than Ruckman, Billy Graham, or a hoop of others.

If, however, Hinn is not validated by his numbers--well, then, neither is Ruckmann.

So who is this person who hates the KJV? I am still not sure who it is. I haven't seen anyone express any hate for it. Can you substantiate this claim of yours?

I am somehwat curious as to your statement: no one blasts the other versions with the other versions. Haven't you made a life on this baord of blasting other versions (NIV, NASB, NKJV)with other versions (KJV)? Tomorrow morning in my message, I will point out what I think is a weak translation in the NASB. It is not wrong but I do not think it is as accurate as it could be with the intent of the author. I compare versions to the original language texts to see how they compare. That is the standard we should use.

I think God cares who was married to whom. In fact, for my Sunday AM message, I am finishing up on Gen 2:18-24: God's plan for marriage. He intended it to be one man and one woman for one lifetime. He desires and demands obedience, not excuses. Divorce happens and I am probably more liberal than most on here about remarriage. There are some legitimately debated issues there. However, when it comes to blamelessness and the ministry, I don't have much flexibility because God doesn't. There is no debate about what God intends.

When it comes to pastors, God specifically addressed the issues of fidelity and blamelessness and of ruling one's household. You have yet to tell us why those things do not apply in certain cases. Why are you willing to jettison God's revealed will about this matter?? Why do you not submit to what God's says??
