Point being, if you're gonna say that something's added, but it's biblical--prove it. Especially when it's germaine to the topic of the thread.

And my comments are primarily directed at evangelist. I'd like to see him actually support a statement, rather than just make one.

    Mark 6

Many here have ignored Mark 6. Anyways there is a book that I have called Evangelism in the NT written by Jon Speed. It compare an contrasts contact evangelism with friendship evangelism and finds contact is 86% of the evangelism done by Christ, and friendship only 13.5%. The book is loaded with scriptures, pie charts, tables, and others to persuade anyone.

I have read and own friendship evangelism books, but the question is, would a friendship evangelist read this book?

Okay besides Mark 16:15 there are many other verses that support contact evangelism.

So I'm going assume you don't take any money with you when you are evangelizing since you are saying you follow Mark 6 model. Also they did stay in peoples house which does require some relationship building since they were told to stay in the same house until they departed from that area. I also assume that you are casting out demons and healing the sick and see that as an important part of evangelizing since you are using Mark 6 as you support text.
