    A consistent, just application of your assertion would condemn the actual textual criticism involved in the making of the thirty textually-varying Textus Receptus editions and in the textually-varying pre-1611 English Bibles and the 1611 KJV.

    I would have tried to use what to me was the best available source texts, regardless of how many times they were used or attested to, and think that there are indeed p[laces where the Kjv would have used either the MT/CT in places to updates the renderings into English!
