What makes a church Scriptural?

  1. To answer, a church that has either a plurality of elders or a single leader will work, as history has proven. But its always better if there are no Protestant Popes. As far as doctrine, the Wesleyean/Holiness/Pentecostal is clearly the only kind of teaching and practice that you see in the New Testament. There were NO CESSATIONISTS in the first century. The Pneumatology of the New Testament is clearly Pentecostal/Charismatic. Cessationism if a false doctrine. Holiness is what God expects of New Covenenant believers. Don't worry about passing some "OSAS" test, as the teaching of once saved always saved is false and antinomian. Paul, Peter, James and John wrote specifically AGAINST the idea that a christian can fall away from the faith, return to his sin, and still be saved. Without holiness, NO MAN WILL SEE THE LORD.

I suggest you read a lot of Wesley, Finney, Booth, Ravenhill, and the like. God's great desire is that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.

Teach separation from this world. Touch not the unclean thing. Sanctify your eyes, ears, hand feet and mouth unto the Lord. Go and win souls. Preach the law, wrath and judgement of God upon sinners, and tell them to flee the wrath which is to come. Preach the cross to sinners and saints!
