Just a reminder...the end of the Mayan world, as they know it, is quickly approaching. With that in mind, what are your plans for Saturday, December 22, 2012?

I will be taking my wife to a medical appointment, and meeting my brother and his wife for dinner on Sunday, December 23.

I can't help but wonder if any true believers in the Mayan realm of culture and society [if there is any remaining within the world] have decided to forgo buying Christmas presents until after December 21, 2012.

BTW - In case any of you are interested, I came across this official December 21, 2012 website. It is unbelievable that there is even an official website. What will happen to those affiliated with this site on Saturday morning, December 22, 2012? I think I'm going to write them that morning!

Well, I'll be getting up and going job hunting, just like I've done for the past 10 months.

However, in the event the Mayans were right, I've maxed out all of my credit cards buying everything I've ever wanted and have been enjoying it very much. After all, if the world is ending, I may as well have some fun before it does.

If the world doesn't come to an end, I'll be auctioning off everything on eBay because then I'll have a feeling that I'll be needing the money after the country tumbles over the fiscal cliff and our whole monetary system and economy crumbles to dust.

( okay, the only serious part of this entire posting was the job hunting; everything else is pure fiction  )

On that morning, I plan to drink a toast of a goodlyish South American coffee to the Mayans (for their calendaring skill) and to the nutcases who are taking this seriously and are running around in a panic.

Anybody ever find out what happened to Y2K?

I am planning to play a round of golf. I expect to get a hole-in-one since no one else will be around to see it. :)

...and if you 'doctor' your scorecard, there won't be time for anyone to question you about it. ;)

I have a relative (a computer engineer type) who, when this was the big concern-du-jour thirteen years ago, just rolled his eyes when the subject was mentioned.

Why, yes! I may even shoot my age, which would require more than one hole-in-one.

    ...or a 9 if you're pressed for time! :D

Get a Wii, with Wii Ski and Snowboard...and the balance board. Then you could call it exercise.

Well, I'm not in the hunt for the perfect job, just a job. But your prayers are appreciated.

Yes, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose?

    Studying

Rom 12:1-2 KJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I will be studying which is what I do any other day. I will also be looking for souls who need to hear the truth of God's Word.
