What would you choose for Book of the Month?

    Our church pastors just started this a few months ago and I think it's a great idea. I was thinking on what *I* would choose as my choice for Book of the Month and wanted to know:

    What one book (other than the Bible, obviously), would you choose to put on the list? One book that you would recommend as a book that a congregation should read? I thought this would be interesting. If you are torn between a couple of books, go ahead and put them down. I'm just interested in what you think would be awesome books.

    The Truth War by John MacArthur.

    I think all Christians should be aware of the subtleties of false doctrines that are so prevalent in the church these days.

    A.W. Tozer's Devotionals. I am not sure if there is a book of them, but his devotions on Failure and Success are wonderfully encouraging and convicting.

    E.M. Bounds on Prayer. I haven't read it yet, only the introductory chapter, but I hear it is very good.

    EDIT:

    H.A. Ironside "Except Ye Repent" - A very good book. I have read most of the chapters.

    Another good one -- As for Me and My House by Walter Wangerin.

    I just finished a book, "The mercies of a covenant GOD" by John Warburton which I would recommend reading.
