    our old friend Abiyah?

    I got to thinking about her this evening, mostly because her posts were always sincere, heartfelt, and pleasing to read, whereas many I've been reading lately, like down in Politics forum, have been, well, the opposite.

    What happened to her? Is she okay?

    I looked through her old posts, the last of which was May '04, and I didn't find a reason why she left the BB.

    Does anyone know?

    From what I understand, she has a chronic illness.

    I believe she has a terminal illness. I can see why she wouldn't want to spend a lot of time on the internet anymore.

    The email address Abiyah has listed only allows those on a pre approved list to write her. Several of us have tried and it came back.

    She lives in Tacoma Washington but I don't remember her real name to look her up. Those with different IM's might search for her tho.

    Abiyah has a terminal, inherited liver condition. She was given approx. 10 years to live about 6 years ago. The only 'treatment' is diet and a liver transplant when things get really bad. Abiyah posted that she had decided that by that time she'll be in her late 60's and she's had a good life. She'd rather the liver go to a young person with more 'time' to live.

    I think of her every day.

    I really hope she is okay.

    I always loved reading her posts because she has such a sweet spirit about her.

    I hope someone will be able to find out more and update us. I know I'd love to hear from her again.

    :( I did not know any of this about her condition!

    I remember her mostly from the private women's forum. She is a very sweet person and gracious. She stands out in her posts.
