Squire, I do not know if you are corrector not. I have not had contact with any Catholic or Orthodox Palestinian Christians. I have met a few Orthodox Christians and have yet to hear one call for the destruction of Israel. My same size there is small.

My primary contact has been with Baptist Palestinian Christians. For someone to lump them in with terrorists, say they stand for the same ideas is to call them terrorists. This is a shameful position to take and one that is completely false. It is indefensible for a person who says they are a minister of Jesus Christ to call for the death of other Christians. He is calling for the death of young people who are very strong in their faith, are living under harsh conditions and ones I have come to appreciate and love. They are outstanding Christians.

It's real simple. You see; to Mitch, Arabic = Muslim = Terrorist. That is about as much thought as you are going to get out of him on this issue.

Not sure how you jumped to this from the OP. I believe the topic of discussion is dealing with how Christians in that area called Palestine are affected by a pro-Israel at any cost stance by other Christians.

They ARE still in Israel and they ARE Christians. So I think it's valid to look at why some Christians have no problem advocating something that harms other Christians.

So what are you and CMG interested in? No one has said anything about Obama except you two.

CBT makes a very valid observation.

Correct! CBT is calling Israel an apartheid state just as the other Democrats are. The idea is nuts because about 20% of Israel is Arab and they have full civil rights.

I still would like to know why we are using the Roman nazi word Palestinian, which is just Latin for Philistine? Are we saying that the Arabs are Philistines? If so, I agree that the Arabs ain't got no class and ain't got no culture.

Israel is NOT an apartheid state.

    It IS a welfare state.

    Maybe an apartheid/welfare state.

Why do you call it a welfare state?

    Just a thought...

As the circumstances of history would have it nothing is exactly "cut and dry" as we see it from our point of view.

Thus we have Protestants and Catholics (In Ireland for instance) murdering each other and the Holocaust historically centralized in a Christian Nation.

God was not ashamed to publish the sins of Israel in the Bible.

When Israel is wrong we need to say so - but not to worry our current president is pretty much up to that job.

OK, so "Bibi" now (today) says he might allow for a "Palestinian sector?" (Whatever today's name for this entity is). He has learned the art of politicking well. And why not, he has had many excellent teachers over the years.

Your leftist Democrat name-calling is tedious. Cuba has racial apartheid and you say not a word because you like the Stalinist Castro and his murderous ways. In the case of Israel where the law treats every citizen equally, you repeat the ignorant charge of apartheid because you want the destruction of a Jewish state.

We are watching the Democrat Party become the national repository of anti-Semitism, aren't we? The only reason to give the atomic bomb to Iran is to watch Iran attack Israel.

CTB, how do you know that "Jewish Zionist Extremists" wrote this on a church in Jerusalem? The words themselves certainly sound much more typical of ISIS than any hyper-nationalist Israeli. Certainly there are no Jews in Israel sawing off Christian heads and posting videos of their acts, as extremist Muslims are doing.

The US Commission on International Religious Freedom compiles annual reports of countries where the greatest religious intolerance occurs. Israel is not even in the top 20 LINK. For sure there are no blasphemy laws in Israel as there are in quite a few of the Muslim nations.

If Christians are harmed by Israel it is not because of an intentional government policy by them, it would be more along the lines of people caught in the crossfire.
