I had never really thought about it in the past -

Interesting that the Psalms are not in chronically order.

This is not a timeline but a guess about what events occasioned each psalm.
The actual psalm may have been written in its final form well after the event.

The titles that some psalms have, were added afterwards… and are numbered in the Hebrew Bible (they are not numbered in most English translations).

There are 5 books compiled to make up the volume of psalms we have today.
