I agree. Too many confuse grace with the world's twisted ideas about "tolerance". Grace means having no standards.

That said, even Paul did have things to say about contentious people.

For me, this whole concept has been demon-
strated in this very thread. One person named
what they see as Paul's contention with Peter
in the passage alluded to here. I do not at all see
what they said as the contention; I see another.

Since their opinion and mine are not matters of
salvation or any other important theological idea,
why should I contend with them? What would be
the point? In my opinion, it is best let go in this
thread, unless it is brought up as a particular sub-
    ject of another thread.

If that were to happen, I would ask myself: should
I get involved in this, or will I just be causing divi-
sion by saying anything? Is it worth being a part
of contention by getting involved? Will the con-
tention be at all beneficial? After these consider-
ations, I still may not get involved.

I think we must choose our battles by their worthi-
ness of words and the need for peace among our
    Lord's Family members.

Peace and unity at any cost...no,this is not right. Sound doctrine and truth is what allows true unity with believers. Unity based on truth is what I desire for.
