Zaac, here is a way it would be acceptable to vote for Romney. Since the national debt is approaching 14 trillion, after Romney is elected, he can commission Indiana Jones to dig up the golden leaves. After verifying their authenticity, the government could sell them on the open market for 15 trillion, and we could start over with a small surplus.

We could then get a medium to call Joseph Smith and Brigham Young from the dead, and they could summon the Angel Macaroni. Macaroni could then give every household in America a new home from heaven patterned after the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City. It would come with two cars, a swimming pool, and three wives. Romney would then appoint Donne Osmond Secretary of the Treasury to keep the budget in balance.

We could get rid of Hollywood because the Mormon Tabernacle Choir could go on tour to provide entertainment.

We all live happily ever after. Amen.

You're under the impression that I care more about who wins an election than I care about having a right witness for Christ.

Here's another math situation for you.

If A has 48 votes, B has 48 votes, and C has 1 vote; then there is one vote left, mine and I vote for C, who wins?

As I've said repeatedly, we're dealing with darkness vs. darkness. There's no mathematical picture or any other picture that anyone can paint that will make me vote for either one of the anti-Christs.

It is silliness. Folks act like they are saving the country by voting for Romney and getting Obama out of office. This country needs JESUS not Romney. But try telling the country they need Jesus after supporting a candidate who worships a god that ain't Jesus.

Nope. My ability to honorably witness for Christ means infinitely more to me than getting Obama out of office.

Obama being in or out of office does not affect my ability to share the Gospel.

Me voting for a candidate who worships a false god would affect that ability.

    Sure I can.

That's why I said that I could say it.

And if every Christian aligned themselves with Christ and the things HE loves, it would make a big difference.

If all the folks who voted for Obama who called themselves Christians wouldn't vote for him, it would make a big difference.

But we're not talking baout combined votes. We were talking about MY vote.

Your vote for Romney is gonna be counted on election night as FOR Romney. Now you can mince words and say that's not support, but that's support.

You perceive Obama to be a bigger threat than Romney for the next few years of the country. I perceive Christians endorsing the worshiper of a false god as being far more detrimental to the eternity of those in the country.

So you worry about the here and now. I'm looking at eternity.

So the god he serves becomes an issue AFTER Obama is defeated? Have you prayed that he meets Jesus Christ before getting elected?

I just envision the atheists and the agnostics and the pluralists going "why are you trying to talk to me about this Jesus Christ? You didn't have a problem supporting a candidate for President who worships a god that ain't yours, so why should I believe you when you say that I need your God?"

Yes, and if they ever ask you who you voted for, please explain to them how you desire that they accept your God for salvation, but you endorsed a man for President who does not.

    As expected.

You won't find a perfect "Christian" candidate. Can't find one, but will berate other Christians for supporting or voting for less than perfect men. You offer no alternative choices, just judgemental criticism.

Both candidates claim to be Christian. Personally I don't believe either one is. But, unlike you, I'm not in the business of setting myself up as God and condemning any Christian who votes for one or the other based on their perception of their Christianity. I will be critical only of their political choices.

It looks like one of them will be president, whether I like it or not. I'm voting for the one I believe will do the least damage to our nation, and our values as a nation. On issues we Christians supposedly really care about, we know Obama will do all the damage he can in those areas. We don't know that about Romney, but we do know he can't be any worse.

You can't say the same. If you really care at all. Caring who is the president doesn't appear to be your real goal here.

I believe you to be (snip) looking for a perfect Christian candidate among sinful men. Either that, or you are just another troll looking for a chance to criticize and judge Chrisitans over one pretense or another. It just happens to be politics in this particular forum. It would be something else in another.

I admit my wording confused you; I pray for all our elected leaders, and our potential ones.

Okay, now THAT'S just silliness. I can't remember a single time where I started a conversation with "I voted for so-and-so; now, let me tell you about Jesus." Or, "let me tell you about Jesus; okay, we've done that for a while, so let's talk about who I voted for last election."

How about I explain to them that we're all in need of a savior?

And by the way: last time I checked, He was your God, too.

Didn't say that I was looking for one.

I offer Christ crucified and resurrected. So how about pointing folks to him instead of men who reject Him?

Good for you. I'm gonna righteously judge by their actions.

Again good for you. Christians supporting that which is against Christ will do far more damage to the nation than either of those two men.

So you Christians care more about those "issues" than you do about pointing the lost to Christ?

I'm about Christ first and last. The President will be who the President will be. Presidents come and go. But a ruined Christian witness is hard to restore.

And Christians are doing an awfully god job at making the same excuses to support this man that homosexuals make to justify their sexual acts.

Ooo. This might qualify as one of those veiled attacks y'all have accused me of.

Yep making the same excuses that Christians have often berated others for making to justify the decisions they make.

So are they not in need of a Savior while Christians are endorsing a man who has chosen a god other than the ONE Who saves?

My friend, THAT is the epitome of silliness. Why would I point them towards any man when I'm talking to them about Christ? If I were to even discuss politics while witnessing to them, it would be to point out that while we're in these pathetic fleshly forms on this rotten corrupted earth, we have to deal with the trials and tribulations and travesties before us; but one day our reward will make it all worthwhile.
