WASHINGTON - President Bush said Thursday that "many questions" have been raised by allegations of some former American hostages that Iran's president-elect was one of their captors in the late 1970s.

"I have no information," Bush said in an interview with foreign reporters ahead of a trip to Scotland next week. "But obviously his involvement raises many questions."

Afterward, White House press secretary Scott McClellan said that Bush was referring to reports suggesting Iranian president-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's involvement in the 1979 hostage crisis at the U.S. embassy in Tehran.

Some are saying that he was not involved, or if he was, it was merely at a low-level such as a flunky. They say that the pictures do not really match. The Iranian government has gone out of their way to deny it. It seems that he is just a low-level thug who was mayor of Tehran. He has to polish the shoes of the religious clerics who are really in charge.

This may be the liberal Democrats dream come true. Obviously this whole affair is Bush's fault, since he demanded voting.

C'mon Ken a man of your respectful intellect can surely do better than keep riding that dead horse around in circles. You should maybe update your sources hmmmmm? :D

Those terrible leftist monsters are out to gobble you up, don't believe anything they say only the neocons can save us from the leftist hordes bent on the destruction of the Bush administration and his righteous cause, to make a profit for his corporate supporters and military industrial complex at all costs.

You go ahead and keep looking left while the pretenders on the right gobble up what little remains of your liberties and leaves you holding the bills. Mkay? [IMG]

Come on, poncho. You are smart enough to know that the AP is not a mouthpiece for the Bush administration.

If you won't believe me, then ask Cisco. He'll tell you the same thing. [IMG]

Yes I know that Ken. But your also smart enough to know that not everything the left prints is false and that not everything the right prints is gospel and visey versey.

To deny evidence from either source solely on the basis of a deeply ingrained libophobia or a conservaphobia is well...not schmart. Agree?

Every picture tells a story dougnut. So does every story. Shutting out one side doesn't make the other side right. Just makes them well...not schmart. ;)

Oh and thanks for saying I'm schmart enough and Cisco says you guys crack me up. :D

I happen to believe the former hostages.

I'm sure this can't be real good news for "American" interests, aka "Halliburton & subsidiaries"....

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6982444/site/newsweek/

The cynic in me looks for another terrorist attack on US soil which will be used as justification for an invasion of Iran.

Carpro, true. What I don't understand is why everyone has to love you guys. They should not kill your innocent civilians, but niether should they have to love you guys.

Poncho said: "But your also smart enough to know that not everything the left prints is false and that not everything the right prints is gospel and visey versey."
Exactly! To believe this is the case is dangerous and just not a good thing anyway.

I wish the Leftists and extreme Rightists would find another hobby horse. I wish they would find something original. This Halliburton bashing is getting quite old and boring.

History shows us that Mussolini's corporatism was good for Italy, so it ought therefore be good for America too.

Sheesh these whiners should just get over it cover their eyes and do as they're told. Trust us we're the government. [IMG]

Don't you think that we should wait until Iran drops a nuclear bomb on Jerusalem before we do anything? Allahu Akbar?

Lady Eagle (and all others intereested), you should listen to Victor Mordecai online for free:

Definitely not. It's called preventive medicine. We should use the first nukes. [IMG]

BTW, www.vicmord.com is a site I've had in my favorites for several years. Some friends of mine met him in person when he was at their church here in Nashville. He tells the truth. [IMG]
