Recently I heard an adage on the Radio, there are many Republicans who are really Democrats, but no Democrat who is really a Republican.

Here is the Senate list of RINOs:
    • Roy Blunt (Missouri)
    • John Boozman (Arkansas)
    • Shelley Capito (West Virginia)
    • Susan Collins (Maine)
    • John Cornyn (Texas)
    • Tom Cotton (Arkansas)
    • Lindsey Graham (South Carolina)
    • Jim Inhofe (Oklahoma)
    • Mitch McConnell (Kentucky)
    • Jerry Moran (Kansas)
    • Lisa Murkowski (Alaska)
    • Rob Portman (Ohio)
    • Mitt Romney (Utah)
    • Mike Rounds (South Dakota)
    • Richard Shelby (Alabama)
    • John Thune (South Dakota)
    • Roger Wicker (Mississippi)

They voted to prevent the House controlled by Republicans to control the purse-strings. Will they advocate capitulating to the Democrats on wasteful spending? You bet...

Can the Republican Party win a national election if those that some people call "RINOs" leave the Republican Party?

Hey, Van, you and I finally agree on something, not that he or any of those on that list are a "fifth columnist", at least not based on what the definition of a "fifth column" is; my main complaint with Senator Cotton is that he is a neoconservative.

Fifth Columnists say they are one one side, but actually support the other side. Mr. Cotton voted to support the other side, so by definition, he and the rest are fifth columnists.

So, according to the definition of "fifth column", you think that Senator Cotton is an enemy of the United States because he did not vote the way that you, not even one of his constituents, voted on a bill?

Yet another effort to say I said what I did not say.
Did I say "enemy of the USA? Nope
Did I mention Mr. Cotton's voting record? Nope

On and on folks, you cannot discuss anything without an effort to accurate understand the other person.

Fifth Columnists say they are one one side, but actually support the other side. Mr. Cotton voted to support the other side, so by definition, he and the rest are fifth columnists.

Then, clearly, you should not being using the term "fifth column" in this context.

A group of secret sympathizers or supporters of an enemy that engage in espionage or sabotage within defense lines or national borders.

I cannot believe you do not even know what a political fifth columnist is.
‬Rather, it [Fifth Column] implies that his or her actions or‭ ‬ideologies are similar to those in the original context.‭ ‬The term has come to refer to anyone who is a member of a subversive organization or otherwise actively seeks to undermine a larger power.

The media has not provided the voters with compelling evidence the RINOs should be replaced with those who actually walk and vote the talk. The problem of course is if real republicans successfully "primary" one of these RINOs, the voters might elect a Democrat in the general election.
