So important that when there was a chance to actually put the word "inerrant" in the BFM, they didn't! Clearly this was a straw man from the very beginning neither revealing ones conservative or liberal theology.

Not at all. The Baptist Faith and Message affirms innerancy: it just does not use the word.

"It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy."

This affirms there are no errors in scripture, which is the definition of "innerrancy" (no errancy, or "errors").

In other words, Acts 1:18 is completely true, with no mixture of error. So is Matthew 27:6.

My warning went unheeded. This is a fellowship forum, not a debate forum. Some have crossed the lines appropriate for this kind of forum.

The inerrancy of Scripture debate belongs in the Theology section, and it is a worthy debate, for the Bible is our source of knowledge about God and ourselves. But the discussion cannot continue like this in a fellowship forum - and will not.

Reprise the theme song and roll the credits.
